Pochee House
Unbuilt, Primitives x Cartesian
New York
2006
A house created by carving to form voids for inhabitation. The house has two parts governed by two grids. The horizontal house connects to the outside world and landscape beyond, forming the spaces for entrance, interaction with others and movement. The vertical house forms the anchor, containing the private spaces for rest, work and recovery- it is conceived as an inhabited foundation.
