FIELD 1: Topological Space

Singapore
2016

Shortlisted for the Archifest Pavilion Design Competition 2016.

We perceived the pavilion as a rupture in the typical form-based, object-oriented approach to architecture, especially the pavilion typology. As opposed to a standalone pavilion sitting on the site, we created a FIELD occupying the entire site. An ordered field of varying densities, made up of ubiquitous bamboo laundry poles and potted plants. The edge is as undecipherable as the space it tries to demarcate. A non-linear field of possibilities for encounters, serendipity and life!

In collaboration with Jerry Hau.
