CIRCUS 1: Trifecta Martial Arts Gym

Trifecta project is a conversion of Singapore’s historical Turf Club horse stables into a modern martial arts gym. As a nod to the spectacle of horse racing, the gym is conceived with the spirit of the travelling carnivals. 

From the reception entrance through the bleachers, one enters into an arena of spectacle of the human body with extensive floor mat coverage, strategic zoning of Muay Thai ring and training areas. Composed of mobile furniture and fixtures, the gym layout can be effectively adapted to needs and relocated when lease is up. We want to challenge the comfortable idea of permanence and maximum built-in cabinets in space making. 

The bleachers also doubles up as partitions for the juice bar facing the external greenery. The existing building is painted white and kept understated serving as a backdrop to the activities.
